The basics in safety and labeling are essential to soap making. We will give 'hands on' safety precautions necessary for working with Sodium Hydroxide and other safety tips for setting up your soap making area. We will share the basic requirements by law for labeling your soaps and disclosing ingredients for online shops.
Basic Soap Making - Cold Process

We will provide 'hands on' basic training in blending oils and sodium hydroxide to make soap from scratch. We will help you troubleshoot basic mistakes that can happen in soapmaking that can help you save thousands of dollars on wasted oils, fragrances, colorants, and more importantly, your time!
The Art of Blending Colors, Fragrance Oils & Essential Oils

There is a 'science' to choosing the right colors and scent for your handcrafted soap designs. This is the fun part of soaping! We will train you in knowing the difference between synthetic fragrances and essential oils. Which ones you should avoid in 'cold process soaps' and which can be best used in other products.
Topping & Embedding Techniques

Finding your personal style and favorite techniques for your collection of artisan soap making is vitally important. We will train you in the most important technique, your toppings!
Advance Pouring Techniques

Learning advanced, technical techniques to help you create unique, one-of-a-kind designs for your collection is a must! We will share some very important insights to help you quickly master pouring techniques for your collections. This includes how to work with activated charcoal, turmeric, oatmeal and other natural additives that add value to your recipe and designs.
Packaging & Pricing

How to price your soaps and packaging them is just as important as the time and effort you put into creating them! We will train you how to price your creations, along with choosing packaging and where to purchase your supplies.
Herbal Salves, Oils & Sugar Scrubs

Adding herbal salves, body oils and sugar scrubs to your collection will help you provide a better service to your customers. Preserving your handcrafted products is essential! We will share tips on how to keep your cold process soap fragrances fresh and the colors stable over long periods of time as you wait for sales. Also, we will share insight to protecting Melt & Pour soaps in humid environments when crafting large volumes.
Photography Basics

Learning the basics of photographing your products is essential to your marketing plan. We will share some important tips whether you choose to use your cell phone or a regular camera to capture your creations for your website or catalog.
